My friend slipped & broke his arm at a hotel lobby which had a wet floor, can he file a negligence claim? - crutch arm pads

my friend was on crutches and went to his hotel room, there was a warning sign warning of the hall was wet and slippery, but there was no alternative route available, in particular has taken the attention, but she fell and broke his arm.
my friend has succeeded in an action for damages against the hotel? before and all defenses available to the hotel?

As the hotel has a warning, which probably is not entitled to negligence, because the hotel is covered by the publication of the notice would be sent. Might be able to at least cover the medical expenses of the hotel, but not by negligence, but from the hotels of liability insurance.
